Alan is an Olivier and WhatsOnStage Award-winning Musical Supervisor and Director. He is also an Arranger, Orchestrator and Pianist who studied piano and conducting at Chetham’s School of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
His career has seen him work alongside some of the most renowned Theatre Composers and Directors – such as Rob Ashford, Bob Avian, Jack O’Brien, Andrew Lippa, Jamie Lloyd, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Michael Mayer, Alan Menken, Jerry Mitchell, Jason Moore, Casey Nicholaw, Marc Shaiman, Matthew Sklar, Stephen Sondheim, Susan Stroman, Jeanine Tesori, Michael Wierner & Alan Zachary.

He produced the cast albums of Sunset Boulevard & The Boy in the Dress, Matt Croke – Only Dreaming, and conducted the London revival recording of Funny Girl. He also played keyboards on the Original Cast Recording of Sister Act. His orchestration and arrangement of the Overture of Overtures for YouTube was performed as the opening to 50 years of Broadway (Kennedy Center, Washington).

A project which I arranged, orchestrated and put together in the lockdown of 2020, featuring 55 of London's finest musicians. It was subsequently performed live in concert at the Kennedy Center, Washington D.C as the opening of "50 years of Broadway".
